Dick Knight is the former proprietor of "The Knight Press" (a Division of Stanley Knight Ltd.). This printing business, started by his father in 1929, operated until 1990, at Meaford, Ontario. Several of his letterpress printing equipment items are now at the Grey Roots Museum & Archives. Mr. Knight is descended from Alfred Knight, an Englishman (and Quaker) who had moved to the Queen's Bush in 1847. He is also descended from the Luton family (also a Quaker family). |
