Marie Louise Bishop (often known as Louise) was born in Owen Sound, Ontario in 1895. Her siblings were Reginald Worth Bishop, and William Avery Bishop (Billy Bishop). They attended the O.S.C.I. for their highschool education. Taylor & Pringle was an Owen Sound bottling company. The Pringle residence was on 8th St. East (a few houses away from the 5th Ave. corner). The building was later made into apartments. Mrs. Pringle had two sons. Fred Pringle married Anne "Annie" Haston. The other son, Sidney James Pringle, married Louise Bishop (Billy Bishop's sister) on July 19, 1925. "Sid" and Louise later divorced and Louise married Mr. Fred G. MacKay. on _____, 19__. The MacKays resided at the former Bishop residence in Owen Sound, 948 3rd Ave. West (prior to 1909 was along Mulholland Street). Mrs. MacKay's brother Billy (b. 1894) became very famous during the Great War when he won a Victoria Cross. Louise worked as a Court Stenographer c. 1925 at Owen Sound. |
